Q34 - Does TABS to be used for medical waste?
As of January 2013, the medical waste began to be reported with TABS. Accordingly medical waste producers will also use the system. In addition, medical waste and other hazardous waste(if there is) are obliged to notify by medical waste producers in 2014.

Q38 - Vials a medical waste?
According to  Regulation on Control of Medical Waste, expired or no longer used, corrupted packaging, decanted and contaminated drugs, vaccines, sera and other pharmaceutical products and residues in addion gloves, tubes, bottles and the box which comtanimated with them are defined as pharmaceutical waste. The pharmaceutical waste According to Annex 2 of the Regulation is hazardous waste. However, in Annex-IV of The Regulation on General Principles of Waste Management, the waste code 150110 * is defined as the remnants of dangerous substances containing or contaminated with hazardous materials packaging.  As a result, contaminated glass vial packages considered as potentially dangerous waste, according to the provisions of Regulation on Control of Hazardous Waste, they is to be collected and disposed.
Q39 - Is a serum bottle medical waste?
According to Article 12 in Regulation on Control of Medical Waste Paper, cardboard, plastic and metal packaging waste , in case of  they are not contaminated, are collected separately from other waste in the blue plastic bag. Glass packaging waste like serum and medicine bottles, in case of they are not contaminated, are collected with the boxes to be used for the collection of glass package waste. In case of  the absence of the boxes, blue plastic bags can be used for this purpose. Before the collection, rubber on the ends of the hose, contaminated needle that come into contact with patients must be separated. Contaminated materials are collected together with other medical waste. The collected packaging waste is recovered according to the provisions of Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste Control.
Q40 - May hospitals build up medical waste sterilization or incineration plants?
According to Article 33 in Regulation on Control of Medical Waste by the unit, according to Article 33, incineration plants can not be installed and operated individually by health institutions. According to article 46 health institutions can not establish and operate sterilization plants individually.
Q41 - Which party is responsible for the disposal of medical waste?
 According to Article 9 Regulation on Medical Waste Control, municipalities are resposible.
